I will write this article from the perspective of a SaaS Marketing Director who is a member of the revenue team and is focusing on inbound lead generation.
Here are the reports you should set up and review on a weekly basis.
- Lead Generation Dashboard
- Marketing Channel Performance Dashboard
- SEO Report
Lead Generation Dashboard
If you work for a company that tracks lead generation here are the reports that I’ve found useful.
- Number of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) Created
- Number of Sales Accepted Leads (SALs) Created
- Number of Opportunities (Opps) & Deals Created
- SQLs to SALs, SALs to Opps and Opps to Deals Conversion Rates
- Monthly Recurring Revenue and New Monthly Revenue
I review these reports on a weekly basis to track if we are on track to achieve monthly goals. In my last role, I set up tracking in HubSpot as our marketing automation platform. The platform has one of the best dashboard setups and I loved how easily it was set up reports.
Marketing Channel Performance Dashboard
Regardless of the industry you work in here are several marketing channel performance reports that I’ve found useful to review on a weekly basis.
- Website Traffic
- Website Bounce Rates
- Top Blog Posts
- Social Media Followers
- Social Media Engagement
While these reports are more useful to review on a monthly basis there are a few things that can be done if reviewed on a weekly basis. By reviewing these reports on a weekly basis you can if your marketing tactics are driving enough traffic to your website to convert them into leads or customers.
I like to build reports in Google Data Studio to review website information.
SEO Report
Here are the things that I like to review in an SEO Report. There are many different tools out there but a cost-effective platform I recommend is Ubersuggest.
- Keyword Rank Tracking
- Domain Authority
- Total Organic Keywords
- Total Backlinks
- SEO Issues Discovered
- Site Speed
